Minnesota Fire Safety (Updated 7/7/2008)
Minnesota: HB 934 - This legislation passed the Minnesota House last year and was discussed by the Minnesota Pollutions Control Agency on March 13 for further review. The legislation was then transferred to the House Labor and Consumer Protection Division and sent to the Governor's office for final approval. After much deliberation, Governor Palenty vetoed the legislation because it was not rooted in science and proven facts. While Minnesota has seen a great victory for fire safety supporters, the bill could come back next year.
